School Law- An in-depth look at the state statutes that apply strictly to schools districts, stakeholders, staff, teachers, faculty and parents. Presentation will include group discussion and real-life examples to best explain the statutes.
School/Workplace Violence- An overview of the definition of workplace violence to include indicators, tips for safety, preventive measures and plans of action.
Parkland School Shooting- An overview of the factors that led to the shooting, a look at the suspect and his movements and actions on the day of the shooting and actions taken by staff and students.
School Safety- An intense look at causes of school violence, tips for prevention and tips for plans of actions.
*This workshop is free to EMCED member school districts. Non-member district participants will be charged $100.00 to attend.
